The CFPA Association launched its new project, “A white Page.” Which aims to restore dignity and erase the first case from the criminal record of former female prisoners, in addition to many psychological, legal, and social support workshops.
Writer Nawal Mustafa, president and founder of the CFPA Association, said that she thought about this idea of the project for a long time, given the obstacles and difficulties she had encountered in dealing with thousands of women and former prisoners that prevented them from returning to their normal lives and finding suitable work that would provide them and their children with a source of livelihood.
The writer Nawal Mustafa, stated that the project aims to criminally eradicate 10 women, and train 100 beneficiaries, as a first stage, provided that there is an extension of the project.
Regarding the project’s axes: Dr. Noura Ibrahim, director of the White Page Project, explained that the project works on several axes. The first axis includes rehabilitation and erasing the criminal record of former female prisoners, while the second axis includes workshops and training and is divided into (legal – psychological support – community integration), and the third axis aims to erase a group of beneficiaries are illiterate, and the fourth includes legal consultations for women and their families.
The Children of female prisoners’ care association (CFPA) was founded in 1990 after a large press campaign on the pages of the Egyptian newspaper “Al-Akhbar” (one of the largest Egyptian newspapers).
