On the sidelines of the honoring, Writer Nawal Mustafa, president and founder of the Association of Children of Women Prisoners, met with the women, and opened the door to discussion about their upcoming projects in the field of hairdressers, and the extent to which they benefited from the training course, which lasted for eight separate sessions, and dealt with (cleaning the skin – hairdressing – make-up arts).
The writer, Nawal Mustafa, also stressed the importance of women’s economic empowerment, which provides them with job opportunities that protects them from the debt trap and provides them with a stable income; Especially after the impact of the devastating Corona crisis on marginalized groups.
It is worth mentioning that the Association for the Children of Female Prisoners includes a separate unit for training, launching small projects and economic empowerment of beneficiaries. 6,000 women have been trained in handicrafts, 2,000 women have been employed, and 650 small projects have been launched since the beginning of the association’s work with women prisoners of poverty.
